Welcome to CSCAR@ISR! This is a new version of the original CSCAR model that was finally sunset in April 2026. We are fortunate to follow in the footsteps of the many brilliant statisticians that have served CSCAR at the University of Michigan in its various incarnations since the early 20th century.
CSCAR@ISR is a collaborative effort between faculty, staff, and PhD students at the Institute for Social Research, the Department of Statistics, and the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Michigan. Each of these three "spokes" defined by the new CSCAR model provides general statistical consulting services, but they can also provide more specialized consulting on specific topics (e.g., survey design questions at ISR).
Please feel free to set up an appointment to discuss a statistical question that you have about your research, check out our workshops, or reach out if you would like to add a CSCAR@ISR staff member to a funded research project. We are also happy to answer quick questions by email or hear general feedback about our services.
